Do I need to go through customs when connecting in Munich?

I am traveling from Atlanta to Ankara, Turkey. My connection is in Munich and I only have 1 hour. I know I will be arriving in Terminal 1, Hall B (Delta) and departing from Terminal 2 (Turkish Air). WIll I need to go through passport control or customs? I believe my bags should be checked through to Ankara since all flights were booked through Delta.

Genetic background of people in Germany’s Rhineland?

A lot of my heritage comes from the Rhine valley in Germany. How did civilization grow there? I’ve heard it said that a lot of people with Germany ancestry have Viking (Scandinavian) heritage as well because they came into Germany. This makes sense to me for North Sea port towns like Bremen, but what about those in the SW corner of Germany?

Is it Viking, Roman, Celt, other? Kind of a broad question, I know, but I’m wondering where my ancestors came from before settling in the Rhine river valley. Thanks for answering.

How do you remove cologne/perfume odors from a carpet?

My 3 yr old son dumped 4 or 5 bottles of cologne out on the carpeted floor. The smell is so overpowering it’s sickening. I’ve tried a lot of different products to mask the odor or to neutralize it. Nothing seems to work! Help!
